Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship Programme 2018

British Airways Maintenance Cardiff (BAMC) is offering an exciting and challenging opportunity to join our Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship Programme and become the future talent of Engineering.

This three-year programme is aimed at developing you to become a professional Aircraft Engineer and assist in the delivery of a world-class engineering operation at our purpose built maintenance facility at Cardiff Airport. 

We are a Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) and a wholly owned subsidiary of British Airways.  During this programme you will learn about and get practical hands on experience of maintaining British Airways longhaul fleet which includes the Boeing 747, 777 and the industry leading technology of the 787 Dreamliner. 

Educational Requirements

To apply for the programme you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade A* - C which include English Language, Science and a minimum grade B in Mathematics. 

OR

 

  • Level 2 qualification in Engineering (which includes the study of Mathematics and Science at Distinction level)

Other Requirements

  • You must be available to start in the autumn of 2018.
  • You must be aged 16-24.
  • You must have the right to live and work in the UK.
  • If you are over 18, you will need to be prepared to work our current shift pattern which comprises 4 x 12 hour days (6.20am – 6.30pm) followed by 4 rest days. 
  • If you are under 18, you will be required to work a standard day shift (8.30am – 4.35pm).
