Reporting to the Section Supervisor, the main purpose of this role is to ensure that the team's pack/fulfill orders for products & literature are in accordance with the instructions and timescales provided for each job, whilst ensuring that attention is given to the accuracy of the work managed.

A key component to being a successful team leader is seeking to improve the efficiency of our hand work processes and maximise the work rate of our employees, whilst minimising the usage of temporary labour. The team leader will also take responsibility for the professional development of their team members.

Your Tasks

- To be responsible for the allocation of jobs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure client service level agreements (SLA's) are maintained or exceeded
- To train and support mailing assistants in the jobs allocated to them in order that they are able to complete objectives without supervision
- You will drive efficiency to minimise the use of temps and reduce costs without jeopardising the achievement of client SLA's
- To ensure that all handwork tasks are performed to requirements. In addition, ensure quality of personal output is maintained at optimum levels
- Identify ways of improving quality - checking to ensure the process adds value to the business, together with ways of following through on mistakes, reporting, monitoring and feedback. Variances to be reported to the Section Supervisor
- You will liaise and advise the service teams on production queries reported through the Customer Relationship Management Software or any other means
- Complete all in-house administration in line with company procedures and undertake regular one to one meetings with your team members
- To take an active part within the department problem solving and adopt a positive, flexible and professional approach to the Company's daily business activities and requirements
- Ensure that security, ISO & Health and Safety requirements and procedures are adhered to across the team

Your Profile

- You are honest, reliable and have a strong work ethic
- Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in your work
- You will have a good understanding of the businesses activity, excellent English communication skills and are willing to follow manual and computer led tasks
- Strong professionalism which will allow you to be a strong link between the Operations operational teams and management
- You constantly look for improvements and have a critical view towards the processes and systems
