Staveley, Nr Chesterfield (with occasional travel to customer sites)

The Company: 

Our client is part of a leading group who are market leaders in the supply of valves, fittings and flow control equipment to the Water, Waste Water, Oil, Gas and Fire Protection industries throughout the world. 

They are now looking for a Customer Service & Contracts Manager to join their friendly team in Staveley.

The Role: 

As the Customer Service & Contracts Manager, you will oversee the commercial offers made to customers and ensure that a first-class service is delivered. 

Specifically, you will: 

- Manage, coach and support a team of dedicated sales and administration staff 
- Oversee the preparation of timely quotations 
- Prepare major contract bids 
- Oversee the price list 
- Ensure that ISO procedures are followed 
- Assist customers with technical queries 
- Occasionally visit key customers 

About You: 

To be considered as a Customer Service & Contracts Manager, you will need: 

- A customer service background 
- Previous commercial and sales management experience 
- To live within a commutable distance of our client’s Staveley office, or be willing to relocate 
- A strategic mindset 
- Excellent communication skills 

Ideally, you will have a degree level qualification in engineering, but this is not essential. Previous engineering experience would also be beneficial. 

Our client is eager to hear from individuals with experience as a Contracts Manager, Engineering Contracts Manager, Commercial Contracts Manager, Bid Manager, Technical Bid Manager or Key Account Manager.
