Due to an increase in demand for our services, we are seeking to appoint people to attend meetings of governing bodies and take the minutes. You will be required to attend a number of governing body meetings during term time. These will include committee meetings, staff discipline hearings and appeals. These meetings are mainly in the evening but could take place during the daytime.

The ability to take concise and accurate minutes is required. A high standard of written English, good communication and interpersonal skills are essential requirements. Whilst training will be provided, a basic understanding of governing body procedures and education issues would be advantageous.

Successful applicants will need to arrange their own transport to meetings and should be aware that some of our schools are in rural locations. You will be home based and travelling expenses to attend meetings will be reimbursed in line with the current County Council policy and rates.

Interviews will take place on Thursday, 22 February, 2018.

If you have any queries, please contact Val Whistler on 01159 772672 in the first instance.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview.  A job share scheme is available for all full time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated.  We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
