Earnings circa £27,500 inc SA

Job Elements

·Pay is increased upon completion of probation with basic rising to circa £31,500 including Shift allowance

·Working Mornings and Afternoons with occasional night shifts as and when required.

·To maintain and develop plant and equipment and improve line/machine performance;

·To initiate and undertake curative corrective, planned and productive maintenance;

·To respond rapidly and flexibly to machine production requirements;

·To bring about improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness;

·To actively contribute to working groups;

·To maintain and improve a safe working environment by adhering to safe working practices and assuring machine safety;

·To assist in the development and introduction of new equipment, systems and idea-generation

·Maintain and improve standards of Quality and Housekeeping;

·Perform line changeovers in cooperation with, or in the absence of, the line operator;

What the company is looking for in the successful candidate:

·Experience of working in a FMCG factory environment as an Technician / Engineer;

·A good general standard of education, including G.C.S.E. English & Mathematics grades A*-D (or equivalent);

·HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;

·A good understanding and attitude towards Quality, Health and Safety and Housekeeping;

·A flexible attitude and willingness to work shifts in addition toa positive attitude towards voluntary overtime;

·Ability to work well within a team and also autonomously;

·Good communication skills with fluency in English;

·IT literate;

·Ability to fault-find;

·Basic workshop skills;

·Good analytical and organisational skills
