Head of Media (Animal Welfare) This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Media Compassion in World Farming is a fast-growing and influential campaigning charity with decades of experience fighting factory farming: our award-winning undercover investigations have exposed the ugly realities of factory farms; our political lobbying and campaigns have improved the living conditions for factory farmed animals across Europe; our Food Business team is working with some of the world's biggest food companies - retailers, producers and manufacturers - to drive humane-sustainable innovation. Position: Head of Media Location: Godalming, Surrey Contract type: Full time, Fixed Term Contract until October 2019 Salary: GBP40,000 to GBP45,000 (dependant on experience), plus benefits Closing Date: 28 February 2018 About the Role: This role has shares responsibility for increasing public awareness of our issues, the organisation and the potential solutions as a way of driving change and ending factory farming. You will lead a team at HQ, and coordinate work across Europe and beyond. This role encompasses global work, in an organisation that is on the brink of investing in and pushing for real growth. You will contribute, as a leader in our Global Engagement Team, to driving forward shared and integrated bold targets for the organisation, including increasing our supporter base. Your role is to set the overarching media approach and strategy for the organisation; serving campaigns and fundraising, including leading media activities and messaging, supporting international offices' media teams, and driving continuous improvement in our communications. About You: We are looking for a media specialist, with experience in leading press office, social media and international communications strategies. No agencies please.
