We are currently recruiting for a Global Shipping/Logistics Company for an Onsite Account Coordinator for a leading retailer, based in their offices in Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an established business in a challenging role and a leading global retailer.
We are looking for an individual with 1-2 years experience of working in a logistics department, with sound knowledge of logistics processes such as Freight Forwarding, Consolidation, and Transportation.
This role has two groups of responsibilities:
1. For the retailer (50% of your time)
• Provide analysis and operational support to the international freight operation, including the custom's team
• Covering absences if/when required
2. For the Shipping/Logistics Company
• Working within the Account Management Team, providing support
• Represent the company within the Retailer so that the Logistics Company strengthens it's position with the customer
• Identify opportunities for business development between the retailer and logistics company
• Travelling when required, typically one day in East London
• Covering absences if/when required
The main accountabilities for this position are as follows:
• Cause Analysis and Issues Resolution
• Business Analysis and Projects
• Business Development
• Systems
• Work with Retailer Inbound Logistics
• Work with Retailer Buyer/Vendor Support Teams
Key Competencies
• Excellent listening and communication skills. Capable of articulating issues and proposed solutions with both internal and external customers, whether face to face, by phone or in writing.
• Able to make formal presentations to the customer.
• Capability to apply structured logic to resolve complex problems
• Sound knowledge of Logistics Process such as Freight Forwarding, Consolidation, and Transportation
• Fast paced and able to respond rapidly to customer needs.
• Strong numerical analysis skills and proficient in Microsoft Excel
Minimum Requirements
• 1-2 years of working experience in a logistics department
• Competent in data analysis and presentation
• Strong interpersonal skills within a challenging environment
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
• Knowledge of MS Excel
This permanent position is paying a salary of GBP29,000 plus excellent benefits, apply for more information
