Assistant Estimator
Our client is a leading Resurfacing company who are looking to expand their Estimating department with an Assistant Estimator.
Key Essentials:
* As part of the Estimating team; your role will involve assisting in providing quotations for both machine and hand lay reinstatement / resurfacing works
* With training provided; your role will involve converting bills of quantities / schedules of rates into spreadsheet format for labour, plant, materials and percentage mark-up calculations
* Prepare spreadsheets that provide visibility of the method(s) of calculation
* Identifying reinstatement materials and specialist work that may be required; liaising with the Estimating team to obtain competitive quotations
* Presenting Estimate calculations to the commercial team
* Effectively communicate to colleagues / clients; ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with in an efficient manner
Requirements:
* You will need to be from a strong Reinstatement / Resurfacing background in the Utilities / Highways Industry
* It is essential that you have good knowledge of Reinstatement Material types
* The role will require an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills with willingness to learn as full training will be provided
* You should have good knowledge of Microsoft Packages including Excel
This position offers career growth potential and a salary of up to GBP35k per annum
