You will be supporting young adults aged 16 - 25 with special needs who are engaging in further study. Individuals may have a range of needs including communication difficulties, anxiety disorders, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Acquired Brain Injury, Mental Health conditions and associated challenging behaviours.

The College is situated on a stately home estate and Grade II listed gardens, and offers a wide range of therapeutic and vocational courses as well as state of the art facilities. As Waking Night Support Worker you will be assisting individuals in their residential accommodation, and will help to provide a step-down approach to independent living skills.

Duties will include:

  • Support with evening routines
  • Cleaning and prep through the night
  • Being on hand if individuals wake up
  • Paperwork / admin duties
  • Ensuring safety and wellbeing of individuals throughout the night
  • Implementing PRICE model of positive behaviour support

This role is 40 hours per week, with shifts between 10pm - 8am, however this can be flexible if you prefer longer or shorter shifts.

Salary for this role ranges from £16,640 per annum (non qualified) - £17,160 per annum after probation. For Level 3 Qualified candidates this raises to £18,200 per annum.

We are looking for people who have previous experience supporting individuals with Mental Health needs and/or challenging behaviours. Ideally you will have a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, or be committed to achieving this in your first 2 years in post.
