The Fire and Rescue Service are seeking to recruit a Fire Safety Officer to join their Technical Fire Safety team.
They have 2 positions available, one based in Maidstone and one based in Canterbury.
As part of a Group Fire Safety Office, the post holder will carry out fire safety audits of identified premises, assist in enforcement activities and support all fire safety activities across the county.
The successful applicant will contribute to the Authority's fire safety enforcement duties in line with the Regulatory Reform Order 2005 by carrying out fire safety inspections/re-inspections, audits and risk reduction initiatives within a wide range of business premises.
You must be able to communicate to a variety of audiences, have a customer centred approach and be able to work on your own initiative and within a team. Be able to plan your own workload, prioritise enquiries received and know where to locate the relevant regulatory and compliance information.
