The sole supplier of galleys and trolley compartments for the Airbus 350, our Client’s business is ramping up; this means that production rates have increased, and will be sustained for at least the next ten years. They have an opportunity for a Lead Engineer to join their Engineering Change Management team where you will provide the business with engineering support and ‘individual’ development.

Within the role you will provide support to deliver a technically compliant product, working closely with the Head of Version Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, QA, Configuration Management and Production. Deputising for the Engineering Change Manager, you will coordinate and influence Change Management process improvements, ensuring all engineering changes are compliant to all appropriate customer and airworthiness requirements whilst also considering BOM costs, manufacturing hours and weight reduction.

As the Lead Engineer, you will have an Engineering Degree or ONC/HNC in a design related field, or proven related experience. With a Senior or Lead Design Engineer background and Engineering Change Management experience, you will be a competent user of CAD and data management systems.

Ideally with previous experience within a manufacturing, automotive or aerospace background, you will have good team working skills, excellent communication skills and sufficient engineering knowledge to create effective engineered solutions.
