Deputy Shop Manager
A non-profit Christian organisation is seeking a Deputy Shop Manager for their charity shop based in their Ferring shop, to work 2/3 days per week.
Must be highly proactive and be able to use own initiative in this busy, friendly shop. Must be flexible to work in the charity’s other shops when required.

This is a non-profit Christian organisation with 6 Charity Shops in Worthing and surrounding areas. They run a number projects to help rebuild lives, support education and communities in Eastern Europe including the very successful annual Shoebox appeal.

The Role:
As a Deputy Shop Manager, you will be expected to:
- Maintain the day to day operation of the shop in the absence of the Manager
- Maximise profitability by reaching sales targets
- To ensure the security of the premises, stock and cash
- Work with the Shop Manager in the training, supervision and motivation of volunteer helpers
- To select good quality stock, price and then ensure the highest presentation standards are adhered to
- Ensure a safe and healthy working environment is provided and adhere to all policies
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have
- Management experience in the Charity or retail market
- An ability to drive sales
- Be friendly with good interpersonal and organisational skills
- Be adaptable and have an outgoing personality
- Be numerate and able to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously in our busy shops
- Be flexible and have access to own transport as travel between shops may be required
The Organisation:

The Package:
- A salary of £7.50ph
- Level 1 Health Plan provided
- 5 days paid sickness.
