Heritage Care has fantastic opportunities for Support Workers to join the team in Newham, London. Joining us on a part time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £8.50 rising to £9.00 after probation.

Our Support Workers must be willing to support our clients to be in control of their own life and committed to helping them to live a valued life within their community. As a support worker you will need to develop warm and trusting relationships with people with learning difficulties to help them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.  Your priority will be to understand the needs and wishes of people and support them accordingly through person-centred planning and to evaluate the plans to ensure they are appropriate.

As one of our Support Workers, you will need to have at least 1 years’ experience working with learning disabilities. You will have a passion for care and supporting people and be able to demonstrate an understanding of person-centred planning.  You will also be a keen team player with good listening skills and have an NVQ / QCF in health and social care. As well as being able to demonstrate a good standard of written and numeracy skills as well as good basic IT skills. Good communication is necessary as you will need to work positively with other people, including family, other staff and social and health care professionals.

Salary: £8.50 rising to £9.00 after probation

Hours of work: We are looking for two part time Support workers - 20 & 18 hours.
