Database Software Engineer

Based in Basingstoke, this industry leading, 3D medical imaging and image management software development company, are looking to recruit a bright and enthusiastic software engineer to join their experienced development team.

This role will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to create software that will make a real difference to people's lives as the company expands thanks to increased successes in the healthcare market.

Joining this well establish software development company, you will have the opportunity to implement new ideas and work with Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server and other related database technologies.

The successful engineer will have a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, and will have a history of developing database based applications (schema design, Transact-SQL programming, etc) and have a proven track history of working with front-end developers.

Other additional/beneficial skills include:

- In depth knowledge of the Sybase Engine
- In depth knowledge of the SQL Server Engine
- Ability to optimise SQL Code and suggest improvements to Architecture
- Software development processes and tools
- Good communication skills
- Experience of developing software to quality standards (ISO9001, ISO13485 and CE marking)
