LOCATION: Northampton
JOB TITLE: Machinist
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP15,600 to GBP17,160 depending upon experience.
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week + Overtime
THE COMPANY: Based in Northampton, Volvina serves customers all over the UK.

manufacture high quality curtains, rails and blinds from their factory in Northampton.
THE ROLE: It is the Machinist's responsibility to ensure products are made to a high standard and to tight deadlines. You will work as part of a team, taking on all different types and sizes of jobs
Machinist Key Responsibilities
Machining all types of curtains, from small window curtains to stage curtains, lined
and unlined.
Machining and putting together roman blinds.
Machining vertical blind louvres.
Eyeletting and packing..
Job Specifics:
Pay based on an hourly rate of 40 hours per week.
Anything over that is based on our overtime rate of time and a half.
Usual start time is 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Holiday is 28 days per year, comprised of 8 bank holidays and 20 holiday days.
THE CANDIDATE: A successful candidate for the Machinist role will have some experience on a sewing machine and preferably in making curtains. Any training needed will be completed on the job.
Key experience essential for the Machinist role:
Have experience using a sewing machine in a factory setting.
Have experience in machining curtains, Roman blinds and vertical blind louvres. Would desirable but is not essential
