Process Engineer – Electrical

Salary: £38-42k

Job Elements: -

·Generating process concepts and supporting Finance in the preparation of quotations in response to new business opportunities

·Provide technical support to the Production and Maintenance functions

·Feasibility evaluation of product designs with feedback to R&D/ Engineering

·Coordinating internal project teams, ensuring activities are completed and providing feedback to the Programme Manager

·Develop the effectiveness of the existing new model introduction process, to include greater cross-functional working

·Working with Purchasing, specify new equipment and develop a competitive supply base capable of achieving the plants expansion requirements

·Manage theoretical plant capacity, considering value streams

·Systematically understand process performance and develop strategies to improve.

·Manage investment in new equipment, controlling spend against the budget with clear sign-off criteria for final approval

The ideal candidate will have:

·Background in process design, development, commissioning and installation. Preferably in an electrical/electronic/ pneumatic environment

·Hands-on working knowledge of PLC and pneumatic control systems

·Related Engineering Degree

·Working knowledge of equipment safety requirements

·Application and coaching of lean principles

·Proven track record of new model introduction within the automotive industry with detailed knowledge of the APQP process and project management techniques

·Competent in Microsoft Office (Required)

·Full driving license
