Brighton's Newsagents is a busy, independent retail shop based in Woodley Precinct.
We are now hiring for a Store Manager to manage our team of 8 staff, reporting directly to the Owners.
We are looking for an out-going, self motivated and professional team manager who is not afraid to get stuck in and works well under pressure and preferably has retail experience
The Role
Day-to-day responsibilities can include:
- Either open up or lock up of shop
- Cashing up and banking
- Staff training
- Planning staff rotas
- Stock and order control
- Assist the shop owners with the aim of achieving high levels of profit
- Promotional activity
- Organisation of paper boys/girls
The Manager will work approximately 46 hours per week across 5 days.
