IT Support Engineer

This company is an MSP - Managed Service Provider, for multiple customers across the country. They are looking for an engineer to join their growing team to help with ALL aspects of IT for each of their customers. Their customers range from small 2-3 man operations to large businesses with multiple sites and hundreds of employees. They are the first and only line of IT defense and as such are looking for a candidate who is not afraid to take on a new challenge daily and has a broad scope of IT knowledge to bring to the position.

The IT support engineer will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and customer businesses. The position is responsible for supporting and maintaining Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems and Microsoft products plus general maintenance of all IT-related hardware/software. The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities.

The position will involve but not limited to the following areas of responsibility:

- Receive, manage and record IT helpdesk requests received either by telephone or email
- Dealing with and resolving helpdesk requests
- Escalating IT issues to the relevant parties where necessary
- Escalating IT issues to 3rd level support or external vendor, and taking ownership of the issue until resolution
- Responsible for managing backups
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
- Undertaking small- to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the IT Manager/Senior Engineer
- Providing Desktop and Server support

They are particularly interested in your;
-1st/2nd line IT Helpdesk experience
- IT support experience with Windows 7 OS deployed in a networked environment of more than 10 users
- Exposure to Spiceworks, VMware, NAS, etc.
- Knowledge of basics of ITIL (incident management)
- Technical and working knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012 (Active Directory)
- Technical and working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2013
- Office 365 deployment and maintenance
