Hostel Worker - Female Ex Offenders
BS Social Care currently have a vacancy to work full time hours at a hostel based in Bedfordshire. The hostel provides support for female ex-offenders who are on probation after serving time within a prison facility. This is a temporary position with ongoing hours on a rotared basis. We are able to offer both days and nights; evenings and weekends included.
This is a fantastic role for a support worker with a passion for promoting positive outcomes for ex-offenders. Part of your role here will be supporting the service users to adjust to their new life following their release from prison. You will need to be a resilient and confident individual who can effectively detach the past crime from the individual and support them in moving on. This will include offering guidance and advice in a professional and caring manner for a variety of aspects, such as housing and employment. As a valued member of the hostel's team you will be supported with regular training and support to give you the tools that you need to really make a difference to the lives of the people that you are working with.
We are looking for someone with at least 1 years experience working in Health and Social Care and who is confident enough to deal with challenging behaviour within the hostel. You will also need a DBS on the update service, however we can help you in applying for this.
