Bring your inspirational leadership skills to this rapidly developing service. Make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children across Plymouth. Raise your career profile with the UK’s largest children’s charity.

At Barnardo’s, we believe in children. Our purpose is to transform the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children and our vision is to realise Thomas Barnardo’s dream of a world where no child is turned away from the help that they need. Here in Plymouth, our teams deliver key support to vulnerable children through a range of Children’s Centre and Family Support services. Right now we’re establishing a new service delivery model based around a network of four Family Hub reach areas.

But even this is just the beginning of the changes ahead. The service is due to undergo major transformation as Barnardo’s works alongside the local authority in developing an integrated early help and targeted support offer. So this is an exciting time to join us – particularly if you’re an inspirational leader who can lead teams to team to work creatively and imaginatively to achieve the very best outcomes for children.

Working across Plymouth City to drive the success of our Targeted Family Support and Early Help services, you’ll oversee a diverse group of senior practitioners and leaders across multiple settings. Your goal will be to ensure sustained outcomes for vulnerable children that provide real and positive results for individuals, families and communities.

With broad-ranging experience in family support practice, you’ve already proved that you can lead the delivery high-quality relevant services to vulnerable children. The ability to manage change and develop strong working relationships with a wide range of partners and stakeholders is also important, along with the vision to help us develop new and innovative services.
