The governors are seeking to appoint 2 enthusiastic and ambitious teachers within the Maths Department for September 2018, as detailed below:

Teacher of Mathematics (maternity cover – 12mths).  The successful candidate will teach across all key stages and use a variety of methods and approaches to match curricular objectives and the range of pupil needs, ensuring equal opportunity for all pupils.

Teacher of Mathematics (permanent).  The successful candidate will teach across all key stages and be experienced in teaching Further Maths, whilst demonstrating their enthusiasm for this core subject.  A TLR may be considered for the right candidate.  The post-holder will set high expectations for all pupils, to deepen their knowledge and understanding, maximising achievement in this subject and contribute to the further development of the department.  Mathematics is a popular choice at A-level.

Bellerive is a popular, successful and over-subscribed Catholic college for girls aged 11-18 years, with a mixed sixth form.  Our aim is to enable each pupil to make the most of every given ability and enjoy and achieve personal growth and academic excellence.  We support and encourage them to succeed and prepare for their adult life, playing a full part in a modern global society.

Our award winning, state of the art Sixth Form Centre opened in September 2016 and the sixth form provision is widened by our reciprocal partnership with Archbishop Blanch, St Hilda’s and St Margaret’s High Schools.  Students from all the partnership schools benefit from a wider learning experience by studying at other centres in the partnership.

Bellerive FCJ Catholic College was rated GOOD by Ofsted in October 2016.  We were inspected by the Archdiocese of Liverpool under Section 48 of the Education Act in June 2017.  The inspection report confirms that Bellerive remains an outstanding Catholic college in all regards.

Our Progress 8 score of +0.29 in the summer of 2017 is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our staff, students and the support of our parents and carers.

We are looking to recruit a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of mathematics.  Professional development opportunities will be available for the successful candidate.

Our school is committed to safeguarding children and promoting children’s welfare.  The post is subject to all the relevant pre-employment checks set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education, including an enhanced DBS Certificate with a barred-list check and a medical screening questionnaire.

The closing date for applications is 5.00pm on Thursday, 1st February 2018
