Position: Site Foreman

We are a leading Marquee Company in the South West involved with major events and productions in the area, based in the heart of Devon.

The Role

The Site Foreman will supervise and direct a gang of Marquee erectors on a daily basis for our busy high Quality Marquee Company based in the heart of Devon. They will liaise with our operations manager to ensure that they are fully briefed about the daily jobs and have the equipment and manpower necessary to achieve high quality results within tight time restraints

The job will involve site supervision and liaising with clients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with experience of erecting marquees to a high standard or running event teams and personnel.  A can do attitude, happy disposition and attention to detail is essential as no one is more important to us than our client and their event.

You will have had at least 2 years’ experience in the Marquee or Events Business in a hands on role and be looking to develop your career with a growing firm.

You will be looking after a team of like-minded individuals who will need bringing together to produce excellent results to a tight time deadline.

You will be able to produce the results on time according to an agreed schedule and record the actions of the day.

We will train you in the safe use of all our equipment and we will expect you to develop the skills of your team and supervise their training and development.

We will provide training in Forklift operations, First Aid, Manual Handling and our

Trade Body’s (MUTA) Structure safe course.

You will be responsible for the training of the staff and ongoing personal development and be answerable to the operations manager.

This is not a 9-5 job but it is outside, it is not a sedentary job but challenging mentally and physically with a need to get the best from a team of people. The hours can be long but creating great events is fun.

A current, clean driving licence is essential, an HGV licence would be advantageous.

The Company

The Devon Marquee has been creating quality events in the South West over the last 25 years and is delighting its clients with fantastic events erected and removed within the time frames required.

The events range from simple garden parties, highly planned weddings to large corporate events and Agricultural Shows. They all require the same attention to detail.
