Support Workers and Enablers

£16, 439 Full time equivalent, pro rata for part time and term time

We have the following permanent posts:
3 x 12 hours per week over 38 weeks, plus variable hours.

In addition, we anticipate that there may be a future need for additional roles and therefore, we are also interested in hearing from individuals looking to work between 12 and 30 hours on a term time basis.

You will be proactive, caring and professional, willing to work as part of our outstanding cross-college Learning Support Team.

Your role would be to provide in-class support to enable learners with specific learning difficulties, disabilities or emotional difficulties to access their teaching and learning opportunities within the classroom environment; to provide individual/group support for learners experiencing a range of difficulties; occasionally, by agreement, to provide physical support/personal care.

Support Workers and Enablers need to be confident in supporting students with Maths and English, and sometimes IT. It is therefore imperative that candidates have achieved a GCSE pass in both English and Maths. (Details of your qualifications must be included in your application form for you to be shortlisted). Experience of working in a similar role is not necessary as a structured induction and full training programme will be provided for the right candidates.

The closing date for receipt of completed application forms is 23 January 2018.
Interviews will take place on 31 January 2018.

We do not accept CVs, no agencies please. Previous candidates should not apply.
