My client is currently looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to assist the Engineering Team Leader in managing the engineering workload to ensure the optimum engineering performance across their site based in Nottingham.

You will also provide quality engineering support to production to enable continuous running of plant and equipment. Undertake pre-production routine checks and calibration of instrumentation as required. Deliver rapid response to breakdown situations.

Ensure first time fixes through timely and effective diagnosis of faults. Identify improvement areas within the line engineering processes and recommend/implement solutions. Adhere to laid down systems of work, ensuring compliance within the required standards of Health and Safety / conduct / hygiene / housekeeping.

Demonstrate ability to work unsupervised with a self-confidence to make decisions in the workplace. Report on line issues and machine performances as required. Carry out installation of plant, equipment and services as required.

Establish and maintain a sound working relationship with production line staff. Ensure own engineering knowledge and skills are maintained to reflect changing technology.

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:

• Relevant Electrical or Mechanical engineering qualifications (Minimum NVQ Level 3 with time served apprenticeship)
• Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure
• Numerate and literate
• Effective communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Self motivated and proactive approach to work
• Awareness of Health & Safety and other relevant legislation
• Background in FMCG environment desired

The role is shift based on an eight week rotating pattern consisting of earlies, lates and nights. More information is available on receipt of a successful application.
