Plympton Academy seeks to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded team, providing help for students with Special Educational Needs in Key Stages 3 and 4 (age 11-16). Previous experience and knowledge of students with Autism would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Applicants must be fully competent in Literacy and Numeracy (equivalent to grade C at GCSE), and possess a kind and compassionate nature. You must be reliable and able to maintain confidentiality at all times. Experience in first aid would be beneficial, but not essential.
This role involves supporting students in lessons, working individually with students in the SEN area, delivering small group literacy and numeracy programmes and managing small groups in the SEN base.
