Tongwynlais, Cardiff

£25,909 - £27,272

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Office Manager to join our newly formed repairs and maintenance service team.

Newydd Housing Association is a charitable housing association, that offers nearly 3,000 affordable homes for rent and sale to people where need is at its greatest in Mid and South Wales. Our vision is to provide affordable homes and support sustainable communities with excellent services to tenants and customers. As an integral part of this vision, we are now expanding our successful in-house repairs team to enable us to further improve customer satisfaction and efficiency.

We are looking for a self-motivated and innovative individual, to manage the office based administration and work scheduling of the team while maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

The Office Manager position is a varied and challenging role and you will have line manager responsibility for a team of three. You will be responsible for producing reports, discussing findings and suggesting improvements, whilst also leading on ordering and invoicing and maintaining our vehicle fleet servicing. This pivotal role will also provide a confidential and efficient administration service to the Management team and will also attend and service our quarterly evening board meetings.

As Office Manager, you will be managing multiple projects and tasks so you will need to be able to prioritise your time effectively whilst working off your own initiative and managing a very busy workload.  You must be an effective communicator and team player with strong written skills, including excellent keyboard and minute taking skills. You will also need to be flexible and willing to cover the work of the admin team as needed. Experience of providing administrative support and dealing with high volumes of customers via phone is essential for this role, along with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Continually improving is at the heart of what we do so the ability to be flexible and adaptable and to offer a creative approach is also important to us. So, if you have great organisational and interpersonal skills, along with a can do attitude, then why not apply?

Closing date for applications is: midnight Sunday 28 January 2018

Interview Dates: Interviews will be held between 7th and 9th February 2018
