We are a family owned business that was established in 1962 and we became the first MOT test station to open in Scunthorpe in 1966 with the first exhaust fitting centre in town opening shortly after that
Since moving away from the "Fast Fit" sector, diagnostic code reading work has risen sharply and the interpretation or analysis of this technology is now becoming part of daily workload. Therefore a sound knowledge of this and diesel technology is an advantage. Strong demand continues for essential MOT related work so this means steering, suspension, brakes and brake pipes are changed on a daily basis and this together with general servicing work on late model cars keeps us very busy
Other regular work involves timing belt changes with water pump on cars and light commercials typically from 4 years or older and wheel bearing replacements. Less common workload is clutch replacement and cylinder head gasket work but good knowledge still useful
Since moving to our current site in 1988, we have enjoyed success at a very prominent position on a major road into town and with profits being re-invested in the business we present a very smart looking garage and reception area. This has helped to cultivate more but also newer/better quality business to site
