Cambourne Village College: Librarian

Start date- Spring term 2018

Cambourne Village College, is a new, over-subscribed, Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ rated secondary school eight miles from Cambridge. We are seeking an innovative and ambitious librarian to continue to develop our excellent library practice and facilities at the heart of the College. Our previous librarian was a finalist in the School Librarian of the Year 2016 awards: we wish to recruit and support a new librarian of comparable vision and commitment.

Salary: NJC Point 29-31 Scale SO1 (£25,951 to £27,668 FTE) pro rata salary paid for 47.69 weeks

Hours of work: 39.5 hours per week – 08.00- 16.30 every day except Tuesday 09.00-17.30 and Friday 08.00-16.00, with half an hour lunch break a day.

Contract: 39 weeks (term time plus 5 training days) and an extra fifteen days worked within school holidays.
