Bedminster Family Practice is a young, exciting and vibrant Practice fully involved in our community and influential in our local CCG, with a list of 11,300 patients. The Partners are looking to recruit a Practice Manager who is equally enthusiastic about their role, and the part they can play in the life of the Practice. The Partners value the fact that the Practice operates as a single strong team and will therefore look for candidates who can demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. Prior NHS experience would be an advantage but given the rapid pace of change in Primary Care the Partners are equally aware that having the right person with the correct aptitude is just as important.
We are a GP training practice which provides the benefit of working with registrars who always add an extra dimension to the Practice. Our Nursing Team has recently been restructured and is very strong under the leadership of our Lead Nurse, the Administrative Team are equally strong with a solid structure in place and the right Manager will enjoy the support of a very experienced team. Our modern building is a great place to work and is ideally located in Bedminster and in close proximity to the city centre.
The Practice takes an active role in the local federation, Bedminster Medical Group, as a means of maintaining the delivery of robust healthcare to our community in these challenging times for Primary Care. The successful candidate will find that there is a very supportive network of Practice Managers in South Bristol, and there are regular fora to attend. We also actively engage in the ongoing work around clinical pathway development, and the re-design of out-of-hospital care. A Paediatric GPSi service is offered at the Practice.
Our surgery is located 1 mile from the centre of Bristol which is a very friendly, vibrant and cycle-friendly City – recently voted best place to live in England.
