£20,000 - £28,000 depending on knowledge and skill
Our client has a new and exciting opportunity for an Automation Technician to join their developing Reliability Team, introducing fresh approaches to the maintenance of machines. You will focus on continuous improvement and identify and recommend opportunities where automation can be improved to maximise performance and equipment availability.
Educated to ONC or equivalent in a relevant discipline, you will have completed an engineering apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) and will have experience of working within a processing or manufacturing environment. With a logical and systematic approach, you will have knowledge of electrical control, safety systems and variable speed motor control systems. You will have experience of PLC programming and will be able to make minor adjustments to ladder logic.
This is also an excellent opportunity for an individual who has just completed training or is keen to embark on a career within automation and has gained some exposure to manufacturing.
