Shop Manager (Charity Shop)

An exciting Shop Manager opportunity.

Our client is a registered charity dedicated to the provision of hospice care for life limited children and their families from the South West. They provide care at their hospices Little Bridge House in North Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset and Little Harbour in Mid Cornwall.

Position: Shop Manager
Location: Westbury on Trym, Bristol
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: GBP17,092 to GBP19,532 per annum

About the Role:

They are looking for a full-time Shop Manager who has the passion and leadership skills to motivate a team of staff and volunteers to maximise profits and generate stock, helping them to raise valuable funds. If you are someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, loves visual merchandising and has a passion for great customer service they would love to hear from you.

You will be responsible for the day to day operation and performance of the shop while ensuring that targets are met through excellent customer service, effective planning and delivering good standards of practice through creative merchandising and excellent visual displays, management of stock control, housekeeping and volunteer cover.

This role will involve rotational weekend working, including some Bank Holidays. In addition, the shop will have some early evening opening hours. It may also include bank holiday opening.

About You:

The successful candidate will have previous retail experience as well as experience of cash handling and banking. You will have good verbal and written communication skills, especially letter writing and telephone manner, you will be numerically literate and have good organisational skills. You will also have the ability to implement effective window displays.

It would be beneficial if you have merchandising experience and a customer care of training qualification. Epos experience would also be an advantage. A current UK driving license is also essential.
