IT Manager Required

A specialist supplier to the creative and media industry requires an IT Manager ideally with Microsoft certifications and past experience of working in a creative Pre-Press environment.

Our client is a specialist supplier to the creative and media industry, employing more than 110 talented people.

This exclusive position is primarily based in Woking with some time also spent at our clients Central London site. The role will be mainly supporting the internal infrastructures together with researching, and scoping new workflow systems to improve the productivity and competitiveness of their business.

The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Installation, management, administration, and maintenance of company IT systems, pre-press and workflow Solutions; advising, training and supporting all staff.

Sourcing, installation, setup, configuration, backup, maintenance and support, both physical and technical, to the required standards, liaising with our providers where necessary; including but not restricted to:

Network:

Cabinets, Data Cabling, Outlet Sockets, Patch Panels, Managed Switches, Routers, Firewalls, ESA's (Email Security Appliances), PDQ's (Credit Card Terminals).

Server Room:

Host Servers, Virtual Servers, BackUp Server and Ultrium Tape Backup Device, KVM, Xralle ftp Server, K8 Unix Server, Digital Archive Mac, HP SmartStream Rip Server

Phone System:

DECT phones, Voicemail, Welcome Message, 4Sight Software, Call Recording.

Computers, Laptops, Smart Phones and Printers:

Desktop PC's, Laptops, Apple Mac's, Laser Printers, Production Printers (1st line support), Smart Phones (Apple/Windows).

Specific Software and Solutions:

V Press, Esko Odystar and Automation Engine, K8, Optimus DASH, Freeflow Core, iReport, OP Connect, plus any other business solutions.

General Software and Solutions:

Microsoft Windows (NT4 Server/2003 Server/2008 Server/2012 Server/NT4 Workstation/XP/7 Pro/10 Pro), Microsoft Office (2007/2010/2013/2016), Microsoft O365, Mac OSX (10/10/10/10/10), Linux, Unix, FileMaker Pro, Adobe Suite, AVG Network Security, plus any other additional software required for use by the business.

Administration and Management:

Hyper-V, Server Management, Active Directory, Group Policy, WSUS, File and Storage Services, Azure ADSync, DHCP, DNS, IIS, PaloAlto, Cisco AsyncOS, VPN, Forensic Data Recovery.

Hosted Services:

Microsoft O365, Heart Internet (Company Web Sites), Taopix, UKFast, Tungsten Networks (OB10).

Client Specific:

Setting up and assisting staff with complex/unusual spreadsheets and databases for clients.

Audits, Procedures and Policies:

Network, device and software audit management.

IT Related procedure and policy management.

Advice, Training and Support.

Advise on 'Best Practices' in relation to IT systems.

Train staff as required in the use of all IT systems and software.

Give support to all staff as required in relation to IT systems and software.

Maintenance and Repair

Perform regular administration and maintenance of IT systems, and repair/replace/upgrade as required.

The ideal candidate will have Microsoft Certifications, and some PrePress knowledge would be an advantage although not mandatory.

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per year
