Production Manager:
This company is the leading global developer and producer of Family Entertainment Centres and Adventure Parks. Their company is expanding quickly and developing into new and exciting areas. To ensure the continued success of the company, they need to strengthen their Team by appointing a Production Manager. The position will be based in their UK office at their main Factory in Wrexham.
To be one of them you need to be a multi tasker, resilient and most of all a team player. You will need to work closely with multiple departments in both the office and the factory, and report regularly to the company's Head office in Sweden as well as working with the staff in Italy and Slovakia. You must also be a forward thinker, well motivated and able to hold a large team together. You must be a good listener as well as demonstrating strong leadership. Must be articulate and sensitive with good powers of persuasion.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Summary of Role and Responsibilities
- To ensure cost effective manufacture within strict timescales
- Ensure on time delivery at the correct quality standards to satisfy external and internal customers
- To work with internal customers to develop good working relationships
- To guide and advise on day to day issues raised by customers and/or suppliers
- Develop a 'can do' culture
- Promote strong working relationships within the group
Productivity
Responsible for optimising the effectiveness of the Unit's resource through the effective interpretation of management information. Propose any capital purchases which may improve the process
Management Information
Responsible for the ongoing development and continual improvement of operation
- Financial management information to allow optimum transparency of the departments activities.
- Ownership of the Sage system as it pertains to Production functions
- Using the systems available to report daily on the departments progress
- Prepare weekly summaries of the department's progress, Quality, production progress, efficiencies, attendance and manning level and project progress if any.
- Prepare a monthly report
Essential Requirements
- Working Knowledge of Sage Systems (preferably Sage 200) in relation to Production Process and Management
- Proficient in Excel and Report Writing
- Articulate and a Confident Communicator at all levels
