SCHOOL BUSINESS MANAGER – FINANCE & HR – FIXED TERM POST – ONE YEAR IN THE FIRST INSTANCE

Full time – 37 hours per week – all year round

NJC Scale points 52-54 (£46,872 - £49,131)

The Streetly Academy is seeking to appoint a School Business Manager – Finance & HR - to join the leadership team in leading the Academy on all issues Financial and HR related, and to line manage a finance team, including a trained Finance Officer.  The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher in managing the school’s budget and HR systems and processes. ­­

This includes not only managing the school budget, but also all administration in relation to our School Centred Initial Teacher Training programme (the Teacher Training arm of the school) and the Teaching School (school to school support and external development arm of the school).

The successful candidate will be extremely well-organised, with the drive and ability to cope well under pressure.  Working in a school environment requires a flexible approach to this post, including attending some meetings held outside of the school day.  Experience of educational settings and an understanding of the IT systems that support administration within schools is desirable.

This temporary appointment reflects the Academy’s intention to develop as a Multi-Academy Trust over the next 2 to 5 years.  It may be the case that an appropriate, successful candidate will wish to explore the opportunities this venture will offer in the future.
