A growing and established IT Consultancy, Software House and Managed Service Provider is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and self motivated software analyst developer to join the small development group, which exists within a wider team of 22 people.
Established in 1996, they have offices in London and Cornwall and a diverse range of clients, from Commercial Multinational and SME businesses, to Charity and Public Sector organisations.
Their Supply Chain Risk Management software is in use by many of the world's top Pharmaceutical Companies and we have other software used by the Manufacturing and Education sectors.
They're investing in the future of our solutions via several R&D projects and are looking for someone to join their small development team.
You'll be working under the technical direction of our Senior Analyst Developer, based in a different office, however you will be based in our Cornwall office, working alongside some of the company's senior management.
You must have 2 years development experience and a good working knowledge of the following technologies:
- C# ASP
- Microsoft MVC
- Microsoft SQL Server (administration and report writing)
- API use and integration
A degree isn't mandatory; we're more interested in someone who can problem solve and work autonomously, however a good degree will be viewed favourably.
As well as software development, you should have good presentation skills, including the ability to create dashboards and data visualisation techniques (eg via excel, other reporting tools and with customer facing report writing).
Flexibility is key: there will be a Data Analytics element of your work, for our Risk Management business, therefore good written English is a highly desirable quality.
Some further, skills (desirable but not mandatory) include:
- VBA, PHP and other languages
- Knowledge of Report writing packages (SQL and other)
- Understanding of good UI and UX design
- Microsoft Sharepoint development knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics
- Generating and manipulating data, exporting to Excel
- Wordpress and other Web development experience
- Experience of Agile/other Development Methodologies
Salary is dependent on experience and on skill level.
As the role develops, the right person would become more integral to the business and may be asked to travel and to have direct exposure to clients.
You must speak and write English to a native standard. Applications from overseas candidates will only be considered if you already have a valid UK work visa.
