Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, you will be a member of the operational team working alongside other maintenance operatives in the Electrical & Mechanical/Building & Structural Services. Direct Works are responsible for the planning, safety, provision, adaptation and maintenance of buildings and associated services and for the development and maintenance of the University’s estate.

We are looking for a customer focused team player who can work alone or in a team and be able to use initiative to prioritise work demands and meet deadlines. Having served a recognised electrical apprenticeship to NVQ level 3 (or approved equivalent) you will have a working knowledge of testing 230v/415v electrical systems, experience of fault finding and working within mechanical and ventilation plant rooms and an understanding of all relevant health and safety legislation that accompanies these tasks.

Salary will be from £20,411 - £23,557 (plus an on call supplement where applicable) on Grade D, subject to knowledge, skills and experience.
