Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Thatcham, Berkshire with potential for international travel

Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 + Bonus

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

An internationally renowned, industrial engineering company seeks a Project Design Engineer due to continued growth. Working across multiple industries and markets, they produce specialist industrial process equipment.

The Role:

Reporting to the Projects Manager, you will be responsible for the full product lifecycle of machine electrical and control systems - from design, through assembly, testing, and commissioning. Competence in an electrical design CAD package is essential - as you will be required to produce electrical 2D drawings.

The role may suit a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with experience in a manufacturing environment, as you will be required to carry out electrical and mechanical work on bespoke production equipment.

Working closely with your peers within the engineering team, you will help to build project briefs, design innovative solutions, and deliver high quality projects within budget, cost and time parameters. You will follow best practice guidelines as laid out in specification documentation, including CE.

Overseas travel can be an on-going requirement in this position, involving on-site commissioning of equipment, fault finding and offering technical sales support.

Skills Required:

• Electrical Engineering qualification
• Experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
• Electrically and mechanically competent (3 phase, motors, invertors, hydraulics, pneumatics)
• Knowledge of CAD software (E plan / AutoCAD)
• Rockwell RS5000 and Siemens S7 PLC programming skills
• Experience of Equipment CE Marking and Risk Assessments
