JOB TITLE: Cardiac Data Analyst

AIM OF THE ROLE:           

To provide professional cardiac data investigations, interpretations and analysis for Clients and Patients using Multiple Platforms in accordance with the Company’s quality procedures and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).  

JOB PROFILE:                

The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, computer literacy and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Additionally, there is a need for a high standard of literacy and numeracy. The post holder should also hold Diploma in Electrocardiography and have relevant experience as well as passing the Company’s internal training requirements. Due to the nature of the work and in the interests of patient care, there is a need for absolute discretion and accuracy at all times as well as adhering to the Company’s rigorous quality procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The post holder is also required to be committed, conscientious and highly motivated at all times and be able to work effectively as a member of a team in a highly pressurised environment.

JOB DUTIES:         

  1. To provide accurate investigation, analysis, interpretation and measurement. To also provide administrative support in accordance with the industry requirements and working to the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at all times ensuring that all data is processed in accordance with individual study requirements, turnaround times are met and all Client requests and enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.
  2. To support the Senior Cardiac Data Analysts with the training and mentoring of Trainee’s Analysts and assist in reducing ECG analysis times. Monitoring of industry requirements and implementation of CPD (Continual Professional Development) and the maintenance and updating of all relevant records to include all new procedures and techniques. Comply with the Company’s inter and intra operator variability requirements. Dealing with Clients, Visitors and Patients both personally and on the telephone. The recording of electrocardiograms, entry of associated ECG data and conducting manual and/or computerised ECG measurements Providing Technical assistance for study sites and preparing machines for site despatch. Administrative duties relating to the department. Ensuring compliance to all Quality Control Procedures and GCP. Preparing Business requirements for processes or Systems. Assisting the Manager with any testing of development. Any other duties commensurate to the level of the post

RESPONSIBILITIES:        

All clinical employees are required to register with the appropriate professional body for their profession, usually their SCST and are required to comply with this professional body’s code of conduct and guidelines at all times.

Attend relevant study days and courses as necessary in addition to personal research to further your individual and professional development (CPD)

Protecting and Safeguarding of personal/sensitive information.

Maintenance of Personal Training Record

COMPENTENT IN:            

1. Analysis of ECG’s

2. Measurement of paper ECG’s

3. Measurements of ECG’s (Digital)

4. Holter Analysis.

5. ECG Morphology

6. ECG Recording.       

ACCOUNTABILITY:          

The post holder is initially accountable to the Cardiology  Services Manager or as otherwise directed and ultimately the Board of Directors.
