Head of Project Delivery to deliver £2 billion+ engineering / manufacturing / build and supply project for major UK client(s)

The Role

As Head of Project Delivery, you will take responsibility for this large scale manufacturing / engineering / technical project including budget and financials, project management, resource planning and supply chain / procurement activities. The role involves international travel, cross border and culture discussions and liaising with senior international stakeholders regarding design work / manufacturing activities / testing and commissioning stages to ensure successful handover to client. Main responsibilities include:

• proactive risk management / project control and delivery
• delivering project lifecycle to company contractual obligations
• internal / external reporting of progress, risks and opportunities
• internal / external stakeholder management and liaison
• financial, budget and cost management and optimisation
• project team resource and staff training & development

The Person

As Head of Project Delivery, you will have a relevant qualification in Project Management / Engineering / Manufacturing with a proven track-record of successful project implementation in a high-profile engineering / manufacturing / technical / infrastructure sector. With experience of delivering large and complex projects through their entire project lifecycle you will also be:

• experienced in contract negotiations, resource planning & budgets / financials
• be highly proficient in liaising directly with customers / stakeholders / sub-suppliers at all levels
• able to set, manage and deliver to clear targets & deadlines in a tight project environment
• a leader and motivator of UK / worldwide teams to drive forward an integrated delivery plan
• a strong communicator, strategically and commercially aware of company commitments / plans
