We’re looking for a reliable and motivated person to join our professional team as a Team Leader (Social Care) at our accommodation service in Margate. This opportunity is to work 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis.

As a Team Leader you will supervise team members as well as supporting people with a range of hearing and / or sight difficulties that may also have complex needs and learning disabilities.

About the role

The Team leader will need to manage the day to day running of a responsive innovative and high quality service for people sensory impairments and complex needs. Special attention will be paid to the creation of a continuous learning environment that will seek to maximise the potential of each person.

You will assist the manager in the running of the service including co-ordinating the team to ensure that all shared responsibilities are fulfilled and systems maintained.

A full UK manual driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.

*For genuine occupational requirement reasons we are looking to appoint a Female only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).

About you

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate willingness to participate in training and development. You will need to communicate in a variety of different methods and be prepared to deal with challenging situations. You will also be expected to work on your own initiative and show patience and understanding.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with adults with disabilities, monitoring the care provided and identifying and resolving issues arising from the 'day to day' operation.
