++ We are currently recruiting for a DevOps Systems Administrator who will be responsible for the daily administration and support of our custom developed software and related solutions in our predominately Windows based lab and production environments for both the UK and US ++

The DevOps Systems Administrator will help monitor, maintain and troubleshoot software and hardware issues within our Development, QA, PreProd and Production environments. 

Key responsibilities include applying software builds (maintenance and feature updates) of our custom developed software, maintaining configurations, researching, developing and implementing solutions to maintain and enhance current systems. Also providing 2nd and 3rd level support to US based Helpdesk and other IT resources.

You may be a good fit if you have experience writing code, but would rather be building out the production systems. You are security-conscious and detail oriented when it comes to provisioning servers and designing deployment processes. You have a strong desire to automate everything, but you know when introducing automation might be a bad idea. 

DevOps Systems Administrator Tasks & Responsibilities:

+ Daily administration and operation of the DEV, QA, Staging and Production environments
+ Collaborate with software engineering and third parties to build, monitor, maintain, and operate our systems
+ Deploy code updates into multiple environments and work to roll environments forward
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, staging, and production environments
+ Take initiative to continuously automate and streamline our operations and processes
+ Participate in meetings as required adding value as a subject matter expert where and when required
+ Provide training and documentation to others as needed or required
+ Assist in network / systems architecture as needed or required
+ Work closely with US based IT Operations team(s)
+ Provide on-call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members
+ Serve as an escalation resource
+ Some overseas travel will be required to U.S. headquarters
+ Other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Abilities & Certifications:

+ 4+ years working in a Microsoft Server OS environment (Windows 2008 R2 and/or Windows 2012 R2)
+ 3+ years of Development Operations / System Administration experience
+ 2+ years supporting an eCommerce environment
+ Experience with scripting and / or programming language(s)
+ Highly motivated, able to work independently and in teams, ability to own and lead projects
+ Strong problem determination, troubleshooting, and resolution skills

Desired Knowledge & Experience:

+ Agile and DevOps methods and culture
+ Puppet or other configuration management software
+ Jenkins or other CI tools
+ Linux administration
+ Cloud or hybrid cloud administration
+ Regulated environments (e.g. PCI, GDPR, SOX)
+ Hardware and / or software virtualization
+ Tomcat
+ Microsoft SQL
+ Monitoring tools
+ F5 products (e.g. Big IP LTM)
