Electronic Assembly Technician

Contract Type: Permanent

Job Elements: -

·Responsible to the Electronic Supervisor and Production Manager.

·To assemble cables, connectors, PCB (surface mount and through hole), panel wiring, performing the testing and calibration of electromechanical products.

·Produce electronic parts and sub-assemblies

·Testing of sub-assemblies and parts using electronic test equipment such as scopes and multi-meters

·Final assembly of systems

·Creating new and updating existing build instructions to latest specification

·Perform calibration, final test and documentation and packing of new and returned products.

·Repair of electronic systems to component level

·Use drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, rework or re-assemble units.

The ideal candidate will have:

·GCSE’s grade C or above in Mathematics, science and English

·BTEC HNC/HND or higher in electronic discipline

·Minimum 3-6 years working in an electronic manufacturing environment

·Lead free through hole and surface mount hand soldering

·Good knowledge and understanding of analogue and digital circuits

·Ideally ability to solder to a high level and knowledge of IPC-A-610

·Familiar with Lean 5s

·Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

·Position may require some manual lifting
