The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) was created on 1 October 2014. Around 2,300 staff work for APHA at sites in England, Scotland and Wales. We safeguard animal and plant health for the benefit of people, the environment and the economy. We all have a common purpose in working at APHA by enhancing food security, improving agricultural economy, assisting in making people, plants, animals and the environment healthier.
You will have a key role to play in our mission as a Laboratory Manager by leading and managing a team of technical, administration and support staff in our Surveillance Laboratory Services department based at Starcross, Devon.
Qualified to degree level in a science subject (or equivalent), you have proven experience of laboratory management, including testing and quality assurance. In return we will offer a wide range of financial benefits, on top of your monthly salary.
