Year 7 Student Support Officer - January 2018

We are looking for someone to work within our school's dynamic and committed Achievement Team to support the academic achievement and well-being of our Year 7 students. 

Key daily tasks within this role include

  • working with the Year 7 Achievement Coordinator to support student achievement, attendance, personal development and behaviour 
  • liaising with students, staff and parents to investigate and resolve pastoral, academic or personal issues
  • delivering cover lessons across all year groups
  • supervising the school's Isolation Base

The school has a team of Year Achievement Co-ordinators and Student Support Officers and benefits from full time support from a counsellor and nurse.

Experience of working with young people is essential and experience of working in a school setting is preferable.

Hours are 37 per week term time only. Salary point 20 to 23 (£19,430 - £21,268) pro rata actual salary £16,508.42.
