IT Service Manager
Cambridge University Press has a unique opportunity available for an IT Service Manager to join the team. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of £34,000 - £46,000 per annum plus benefits.

About the role
This is an exciting technology role to act as the interface between IT and one of our major business lines. It is a great opportunity for an experienced IT Service Manager to engage with a thriving publishing and digital products business as we shape our organisation for the future.
You will be representing the Technology department out to the business in terms of service availability, performance, functionality, incident coordination, problem coordination and change coordination.
You will be representing the business back to Technology in terms of business impact, requests, establishing appropriate contacts, and building partnerships to align the IT services with the needs of the customers’ business.
The Technology department itself comprises globally distributed employees and third party partners. You will have experience in managing service delivery in a similarly diverse environment.
What do we look for in a IT Service Manager?
The successful person will be ITIL qualified above Foundation level and will have strong experience of IT Service Management, knowing how to find the balance between process and practicality.
You will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage major incidents and to handle conflict between stakeholders. We will want to hear about the positive impact that you have had in your previous IT Service Manager roles.
Excellent organisation and communication skills will of course be essential.
