Student Systems Officer


Full Time Post: 36.25 hours per week 

Salary: £25,728 - £28,936 per annum

As a member of the Student Records & Systems team, the Student Systems Officer has responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the University’s student records system, currently SITS:Vision. Together with colleagues, you will provide technical support and advice to users of our student systems, providing timely solutions to problems.  As well as being responsible for maintaining the student database, you will assist with the design, development, introduction and operation of student record system processes.  You will have line management responsibility for the Systems & Process Administrator.

You have an aptitude for working with information systems and are driven to improve and streamline University processes for both students and staff. You have operational experience of system administration and functionality and ideally, experience of collaborative working relationships, preferably within an education environment. 

You have excellent organisational and planning skills, with the capacity to prioritise and complete multiple tasks to agreed timescales.  You are technically proficient and have a demonstrated capability for problem solving. This role requires excellent systems administration skills, as well as good written and verbal communication skills. The ability to communicate effectively and clearly to both staff and students is essential, as is your ability to work well as part of a team.
