Programme Leader for Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Salary: £21,784 - £35,105
Hours: Initially 5.5 hours a week (0.15 FTE), increasing to 9.25 hours per week (0.25 FTE) from 22nd August 2018.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Exeter College’s well-established Counselling Training Team. We run a range of highly regarded Counselling Training courses with a clear progression route: Counselling ‘Taster’ Sessions, a Level 2 Introduction to Counselling Skills, a Level 3 Award in Counselling Skills and Theory and a 2 year Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
We are looking to appoint 2 Programme Leaders primarily to co-teach on our Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Applicants must have current experience both of teaching counselling skills to adults and of practising actively as a counsellor (minimum of 450 hours). We are seeking to appoint experienced people with the ability to make a strong and positive contribution to the continuing development of the programme, an important element of which will be collaboration and co-delivery.
The post is initially 5.5 hours a week, starting in January 2018. During January to July, the successful applicants will be shadowing, interviewing and preparing resources for the September Diploma, which runs all day on a Tuesday. The post will then move to a 0.25 fraction on August the 22nd, 2018, when the next 2 year Diploma starts (this amounts to 9.25 hours per week). The Diploma will be on Tuesdays and there will be a one weekend residential in January or February 2019.
The role is advertised as a Programme Leader, with annual FTE salary of up £35,105. The role also includes a ‘Golden Hello’ of £500.
