Job Description
This is a mobile role, the successful candidate will look after the day to day engineering as well as managing a team of engineer and sub-contractors.
Location
Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring that engineers maintain routine servicing schedules for PPM
- Allocating work to a team of engineers as necessary
- Carrying out conference calls on a regular basis and ensure constant regular feed-back form engineers
- Supervise a team of engineers within a given region in order to maintain client buildings and all equipment and systems in prime condition and optimum working efficiency
- Ensure that Elog books are managed successfully for those sites/locations responsible and for their team of engineers
- To provide a technical point of contact when dealing with external contractors in conjunction with clients premises
- To ensure that their team of engineers hit their point's target each month
- To provide technical support and advice on mechanical and electrical plant issues to clients as necessary
- Ensure reactive maintenance is responded to immediately
- Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed as necessary
- To provide a service at all times to the nominated clients by ensuring that the standards of work and the materials supplied are as specified in accordance with the contract information
- To maintain personal and professional development of engineers to meet the changing demands of the job and encourage and support engineers in their development and training
- Adhere to Company and externally relevant health and safety laws and policies
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be determined by company
Necessary Skills
Essential:
- Fully electrically or mechanically qualified to recognised level. ie C&G
- 17th Edition Wiring Regs
- Happy to work in a "hands on" capacity as and when needed
- Able to write report and carry out quotes
- Previous experience of supervising staff and sub-contractors
- Strong IT skills
- Be smart and presentable
- Be able to demonstrate good people skills
Remuneration
£30,000 - £32,000 dependent on experience
