Independent Living Support Officer

Leicester – various locations

Salary: £16,556 per annum

Fixed Term Contract until March 31st, 2020 - 35 hours per week is advertising for an Independent Living Support Officer on behalf of our client, a leading social housing provider based in Leicester.

This is an opportunity for an Independent Living Support Officer to join a dedicated team in Leicester and they really want to hear from you if;

  • Enjoy devising and reviewing Person-centred support plans tailored to meet the individual needs of customers
  • Provide practical support in daily living and problem-solving skills to achieve positive outcomes for customers.
  • Support customers to accessing local the community.
  • Monitor the Health & Wellbeing of our customers and signpost to relevant agencies as required.
  • Maintain effective customer support notes, records, reports and monitoring returns
  • The ideal candidate for this role will have at least one year’s previous experience of working in a similar role and can demonstrate:
  • Ability to clearly communicate with customers, carers and professional agencies
  • Ability to organise own workload on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of supporting people Quality Assessment Framework
  • Possession of a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle on a daily basis with Business use insurance is essential.

As the post is working with vulnerable Adults the applicant will subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Disclosure (DBS).

Due to the nature of linguistic needs of most of the residents who will receive the service, it would be desirable for candidates to speak and understand Guajarati & Hindi.
