To care for a 14 year old girl who has Cerebral Palsy and has a sense of humour. She is able to communicate and make herself understood by signing and pointing/calling (Non Verbal). She is fully dependent on others for all of her care needs which includes personal hygiene, feeding ,dressing &administration of medication etc..

Main responsibilities; Looking for a " WAKING NIGHT" carer to assist in resettling the client throughout the night as and when she wakes up. It is the Waking night carer's responsibility to reduce disturbance, such as prolonged calling which can be distressing for her and for and for the other family members. She usually wakes up several times during the night and is the night carer's duty to reassure and comfort her with minimum intervention as possible. You will be working during the night on your own although parents will be available as your back up support if needed.

Specialised equipment is in operation and a hoist is available if needed. There maybe times when two night will be on duty together should the child be unwell, in hospital or family members away.

FEMALE ONLY-you must be confident about working in a clients home, reliable, trustworthy and be able to work in a team and cover other shifts. You must only apply for this job if you are flexible enough and perhaps solely committed to this role as overtime can be available to cover a team of 12 carers.

THIS POST IS FOR; Saturdays/Sundays night work 5pm-8am a 15 hour shift (plus some afternoon shifts). The weekend night work will be alternate weeks. One week Saturday night the following week will be Sunday night 5pm-8am. THIS ROLE ALSO INCLUDES; school holidays shift in the afternoons 5-9/10pm 

Pay Rates range from £12-£15

You must be prepares to cover other carers holidays etc.. Driving is essential, Training will be provided. This post is available NOW!
